Abena Osei-Poku is a Ghanaian corporate executive who is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in Ghana’s financial sector. Since September 2018, she has held the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Absa Bank Ghana (formerly Barclays Bank of Ghana). Before this, she served as the Managing Director responsible for Corporate & Investment Banking in East and West Africa at Absa in South Africa.

Ama Sarpong Bawuah

Board Chair, Access Bank Ghana PLC

Ama Bawuah is a highly accomplished and resourceful businesswoman with a proven track record in strategic management, marketing, public affairs and communications. She graduated from Wesley Girls’ High School and the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French. She also holds an MBA in Strategic Management and Marketing from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, USA.

Elizabeth Akua Ohene

Elizabeth Akua Ohene is a highly respected Ghanaian journalist and politician. She served as Minister of State for Tertiary Education under President John Kufuor’s administration in Ghana. Before her appointment to the government, she served as the Editor of the Daily Graphic, the first woman to hold the position.

Frances Adu-Mante

Mrs Frances Adu-Mante is a seasoned Banker, Legal Practitioner, and Business Executive with over four decades of experience in Law, Banking, and Finance. She currently works as a Consultant at ROFAM Consultancy Services, a Legal & Human Resource Management Consultancy in Accra. Additionally, she serves as the board chair of ABSA Bank Ghana Limited, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of Ghana Business School Endowment Fund, and a member of the Council of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana.

 Esi Tawia Addo-Ashong

Board Chair, Stanbic Bank Ghana

Esi Tawia Addo-Ashong is a seasoned Barrister at Law with over three decades of experience in providing legal advice and services in Ghana. In March 2022, she was appointed Chairperson of the Stanbic Bank Board of Directors, where she brings her expertise in law and governance to the table.

Freda Yahan Duplan

Freda Yahan Duplan is a highly accomplished business leader with over 27 years of experience in the Nestle Group, where she rose to become the first African Female Market Head and the first female and Ghanaian Managing Director of Nestle Ghana Limited. She currently serves as the Board Chair of Zenith Bank Ghana and a Board Member of ZEN Petroleum.

Helen Amarquaye

Helen Amarquaye is a Ghanaian Risk Management and Compliance professional with over 25 years of experience across multiple industries including Insurance, Telecommunications, and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). She was appointed as a Director on the old mutual Ghana board on November 14, 2017.

Margaret Boateng Sekyere

Margaret Boateng Sekyere is an accomplished businesswoman with over three decades of experience in both the private and public sectors. Currently, she serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Societe Generale Ghana, a position she has held since October 2020.

Muriel Susan Edusei

Board Chair, Prudential Bank Ghana

Mrs Muriel Susan Edusei’s extensive experience in banking, business, corporate governance, and the boardroom makes her an invaluable addition as the Board Chairperson. She spent 18 years at the National Investment Bank, working in various positions and retiring as the Head of Foreign Operations in 1995. Mrs Edusei then joined Oikocredit International, where she established the regional office in Ghana to serve Ghana, Gambia, and Sierra Leone as the Regional Manager for Anglophone West Africa. After a successful tenure, she retired from Oikocredit in December 2010.
